In The Illusion of Life by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston they talk about the problem with the door/shopkeeper. It's on pages 72-73. It's only a small few paragraphs but a great description of what they went threw in those days to get something so simple accomplished.

I've never had experience on a Cintiq tablet, but I have used the Intuos which is nice to have around but I wouldn't use it for anything other than having digital story boards or things along those lines. Rather than spending money on a Cintiq I would invest in an Intuos for storyboarding, and other...

As I type this I am watching The Iron Giant for the first time an I must say it seems to be an incredible movie.
