I have uploaded the next page in a larger format. I have never been satisified with the resolution until. It really doesn't do justice to the images. They will take longer to download but hopefully the extra quality will be worth it!

What are some of those ex Disney animators doing? This is one project for example. http://www.pupsofliberty.com First and foremost thanks and congratulations to the studio for continuing to believe in hand drawn animation. At the same time, in the interest of hand drawn animation not only 'exisiting...

Here we are again at 'our' day. Things may be looking brighter for hand drawn animation as Disney releases the Princess and the Frog and Sylvain Chomet's film will be released next year The Illusionist.

From Didier Ghez's collection of interviews called 'Walt's People' there is a short interview with Tytla. What most impressed me was when he was asked about people he would include some personality trait as well. For example he described Ted Sears, a long time storyman at Disney as "he wore his...

page 20....and page 16 re-uploaded because I misspelled Blaine Gibson's name. I found it rather odd that Milt Kahl has some very ordinary (action wise not result wise) scenes in this part (acorn falling on owl's head for example) while Hal King's animation is just amazing. It's really a shame that b...

In this clip Roy Disney makes the best declaration I have ever heard from him suggesting to the new Disney executives who were considering ending the feature animation department that if theyb did that all they would be doing afterwards would "running a museum".
Well said Roy!!

I started to watch a few preview clips of Don Hahn's new documentary when I was disheartened to hear at the end of one clip how after Walt died the studio "still made sweet, harmless animated comedies for kids". I beg to differ with Mr. Hahn. The quality of Disney feature animation, before...

As usual I have gone to the 'trouble' of downloading some storyboards posted on Michael Sporn's great site (visit whenever you can). You should download them from there but if you are short on time I've downloaded them for you.

The other day reading Michael Barrier's book of animation history he mentions major cuts (reminded me immediately of Snow White) in Bambi as funds dwindled and the production costs mounted. I wondered what masterpieces of animation might have been left by the wayside in this film too. Luckily I had ...

It is a interestng to note that Marc Davis, who is generally associated as 'the animator' of Aurora/Briar Rose does not appear as animating her in this major sequence until sc. 33. In the first part of the sequence Hal Ambro seems to be the Briar Rose specialist and delivers admirably!

Just uncompressing the first file will automaticaly set off uncompressing in the rest of the files.
